Behold & Be Held

Heart In Heaven

Love That Moves Toward Need

When the heart is held by God, it becomes freer to open its hands.

Outward

His Love Moves Outward

The life of discipleship does not end with what God does within us. His love moves outward.

It teaches us to notice. To draw near. To care about what breaks His heart. To hold what He has entrusted to us with open hands—and to ask how our lives might become instruments of His mercy in the lives of others.

Heart In Heaven is one expression of that open-handed life.

Founded from a conviction that compassion should move toward need, Heart In Heaven creates pathways of hope and transformation for people facing poverty and hardship, with a particular commitment to Liberia and to trusted organizations serving vulnerable communities around the world.

It is generosity with somewhere to go. Love with its sleeves rolled up. Compassion on mission.

Seeing first

Because God Sees

Throughout Scripture, we encounter a God who sees the overlooked, hears the cry of the afflicted, defends the vulnerable, and calls His people to reflect His heart.

Biblical generosity begins there. Not merely with resources. With seeing. When we behold God more clearly, we begin to see people differently too.

The poor are not problems to solve. The vulnerable are not projects. They are people made in the image of God—worthy of dignity, compassion, opportunity, and love.

And when mercy takes root in the heart, generosity becomes more than an obligation. It becomes overflow.

We give because God has given. We love because we have been loved. We extend mercy because we ourselves live every day beneath the mercy of God.

One mission. Two pathways.

How Compassion Becomes Action

Launch Liberia — Direct Impact

Creating pathways out of poverty through discipleship and access to sustainable transformation.

Launch Liberia is Heart In Heaven’s direct work in Liberia. Rather than addressing poverty through a single intervention, the work seeks to strengthen lives and communities through interconnected opportunities for learning, livelihood, spiritual formation, and long-term growth.

Current initiatives include

  • Digital education, expanding access to technology and learning
  • Savings groups, helping individuals and families build financial resilience
  • Vocational training, equipping participants with practical, income-generating skills
  • Discipleship, grounding transformation in the hope and truth of Christ

The aim is not simply temporary relief. It is to help create meaningful pathways toward greater dignity, agency, sustainability, and hope.

Global Impact

Coming alongside trusted partners already deeply rooted in the places they serve.

Some needs are best addressed by organizations already deeply rooted in the places they serve. Through Global Impact, Heart In Heaven comes alongside trusted nonprofit partners doing effective work among vulnerable people around the world.

Donors give to Heart In Heaven’s Global Impact fund rather than selecting an individual partner. Heart In Heaven stewards those pooled funds across selected organizations according to need, opportunity, and its giving framework. One gift can therefore help strengthen faithful work across multiple places and areas of need.

It is a simple expression of leveraged generosity: many open hands, joined together, helping sustain many faithful hands already at work.

Whose is it?

Generosity as Stewardship

Heart In Heaven was born from a conviction that what we possess is not ultimately ours. Money. Time. Opportunity. Influence. Skills. Attention.

Every resource entrusted to us becomes part of the larger question of stewardship:

Lord, how would You have me use what You have placed in my hands?

The answer will not look identical for every disciple of Christ. Heart In Heaven is not the whole of generous living, nor is it the only place generosity should flow. It is simply one invitation. One doorway. One opportunity to allow compassion to become action.

Because sometimes love prays. Sometimes love listens. Sometimes love stays. And sometimes—love gives.

Beyond our sight

Open Hands. Eternal Impact.

We may never fully see what God does with a gift surrendered to Him.

  • A child gains access to education.
  • A mother acquires a skill that helps her earn income.
  • A family begins saving toward a more stable future.
  • A community receives support through an organization faithfully serving there.
  • A person once unseen discovers that someone noticed.

No single giver accomplishes these things alone. But God has always delighted to work through surrendered people, ordinary resources, faithful obedience, and gifts placed willingly into His hands.

We offer what we have. He determines the reach.

And sometimes what appears small in our hands becomes part of something far larger than we could have imagined.

Follow Him there

Let Love Move

Perhaps living wholly for God will lead you to give. Perhaps it will lead you to pray. Perhaps it will deepen the way you see people whose lives are very different from your own. Perhaps it will awaken a new attentiveness to the needs God places in front of you.

Wherever He leads, follow Him there.

Let compassion interrupt indifference. Let gratitude loosen your grip. Let love become movement. And let the life you have been given become, in ways both seen and unseen, a means of grace to someone else.

Open Hands. Eternal Impact.
